Sega Silicon Valley is a registered Community Based Organization located in Sega in Ugenya – Siaya county – Western Kenya. We support skills development and enhancement of livelihood opportunities for local people, especially young people using ICT for purposes of self-reliance and life-long learning. We focus on assisting particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged people like the youth. Through partnerships with Simba Friends Foundation, Safaricom, CISCO, Tricomp International & other local partners, we have provided 6 institutions (Sega Youth Polytechnique, Sega Township Primary, Sega Girls Primary, Sega Township Secondary & Sega Girls Secondary school) with 20 Computers each and built for them modern Computer labs. Under our entrepreneurship program, we have trained over 100 local entrepreneurs on integration of IT in business and set up a youth entrepreneurship ICT center in Sega Market with a local partner.
